Aussies do it again!!

hello ppl,

1 month..... pretty gud time to update the blog!! so here I am....... hv been doing this absconding n then come bak with a 'sorry' message for quite some time now.... so, no apology this time..... jus been lazy!!

It wouldnt be an understatement if I said I totally lost interest in this World cup after the exit of Indian team....... moreover, this world cup was pretty boring was my feeling right from the start!! But was still following jus scored and results all along!!




And today, the Aussies successfully finished their hat-trick WC victory!! AMAZING is jus the word!! Come to think of it, in the past 20 years, they have won 4 World Cups and 3 of them, now in a row!! 4 out of 6 World Cups..... thats how dominant they have been!! The Aussies have been undefeated in the World Cups for the past 29 games that has extended from 1999 to 2007..... guess there hasnt been many challenging oppositions!!

Whatever may be the comments about the Aussies...... rude, sledging, lack of respect for other teams....... but, we got to give it to them..... Hats off to the Aussies!! Keep rocking...... lets see if u extend ur hat-trick to Mumbai in 2011!!

Mozhi - Review

hello ppl,

howdy? so, I happened to catch up with this movie Mozhi over the weekend....... pretty nice movie.... very good effort.

The movie is sure to go well with the family audience. There was this constant undercurrent of humor all through the movie which keeps you smiling all through :-) Very well etched out characters that pretty much make you feel like watching some real life characters. No larger than life heroic acts and no stunts that defy gravity.

Prakashraj was excellent with his timing in the movie and he had a good vibe with Prithviraj that made the scenes involving them enjoyable. The absent-minded professor, the angry secretary of the apartment, all did their parts very well and kept the flow of the movie going. Jothika has also done her part of a deaf and dumb, but extremely self-confident woman very well. All these years of acting has at last brought her performance from over-acting (Kushi days) to actual normal acting :-)



The music was very pleasant too. Specifically I liked Kaatrin Mozhi and Sevvaanam selai katti. Very nice numbers. Prakashraj is turning out to be an excellent producer, apart from having already established himself as a great actor. The movies he chooses to produce (leave alone Poi) like Kanda Naal Mudhal, Azhagiya Theeye, Naam and now Mozhi really gives him a lot of good name as a bankable producer for realistic movies.

And the Director Radha Mohan and Dialogue Writer Viji need special mention. I have seen Azhagiya Theeye by Radha Mohan and that was a wonderful movie too. Very normal story but the treatment made all the difference. Mozhi is also dealt in a similar way, giving importance to the screenplay and characters rather than the actors involved. Scenes such as 'bulb-glowing' have been well thought out and really make you laugh. Kudos to the director.

Overall, a nice movie which, after a long time, is watchable with all family and friends without any complaints :-)

Surprise in NYC !!!

This post is long pending....... I had gone to NY City with my college friends for the New Year...... on Dec 31, lunch-kku Saravana Bhavan pogalaam-nnu poirunthom...... we didnt get a place coz it was crowded... so we were waitin outside the restaurant for a while.....

I was jus standing der, talkin on the fone with another friend of mine wen my attention caught something..... der was this guy, walkin out of the restaurant n jus tying his shoelace in front of the restaurant!! I immediately recognized him..... he also looked at me at the same time and he recognized me too :-) He had jus finished his lunch in der n walkin out!!

It was Anand, another blogger whose audio blogs I hav enjoyed listening and admired his fotographic skills........ we hav caught up on chat a few times b4 tat n even spoke abt meeting some day!! But, tat day, it was such a gr8 coincidence to run into him, tat too in the most unexpected place!! well, what are the chances that u run into someone whom u knw only thro blogs, at a restaurant tat is located in a city which neither of us belong to :-) tat was a lucky encounter!!

So, we were jus chatting outside the restaurant for a few minutes and clicked a pic as a remembrance of the occasion!!

I hope I hav more such experiences....... its a different kind of feel when this happens rather than making specific plans to meet up u knw!!

Munna n Circuit r coming bak!!

yello ppl,

for ppl who dont knw yet, yes, Munna n Circuit r coming bak. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani n the ppl of Munnabhai, including Sanjay Dutt n Arshad Warsi r now startin off on the 3rd part!! And its called 'Munnabhai Chale Amerika'.

In Hollywood, der hav been sequels all the time. But to my knowledge, they hav dominantly been either in the Action genre (Pirates of the Carribean), Superhero genre (Spidey, Batman) or Horror genre (Saw I, II, III). I dont think there has been anything sort of dealing with humor laced with human values and stuff (dont include scary movie series..... tats not a movie per say :-) jus collection of scenes which make fun of other movies) . In this regard, I guess Munnabhai is kinda setting a new trend!! I dont know if any other movies would follow suit this way!!

So, lets welcome Munna n Circuit to Amerika!!!

PS: on a different note, now this makes me think....... wat happened to Sanjay Dutt's court hearings n stuff? he is signing n acting in 1 movie after the other!! Guess tats how good the legal system is workin in India!!
